I totally feel you on the career change thing! Went from social work to freelance writing, and now working as a Content/UX writer at a startup. I’m Kenyan, but grew up in the US and my dad is like “Um…my daughter does things with…words…and technology…?” lol. Highly applaud your move to the UX realm!
